Owl and OPEN
Most of their stuff had already been sent ahead to her brother’s house in France and all that was left was a bag of things for Lily, some stuff she had bought, the pram and Maeve and Lily themselves. The Kensington house somehow looked so empty without the cot and baby toys scattered around it, even though it had only been 6 months since Lily had come into their lives. Looking back at the front door she wondered how long it would be until she was ready to come back. London would always be her home and Lily would need her Daddy so she knew they would end up back here someday. It wasn’t too long before she was sat in a corner of a coffee shop in Diagon Alley, sipping a tea and taking it all in, her daughter asleep next to her in the pram after picking up a few last things. She had one eye on the door hoping Miles wouldn’t wander in but somehow she hadn’t noticed the familiar face slip in until they approached her.
--------------SWITCH----------------
Maeve sent the owl, dried her eyes and shut the door to her former home behind her and Lily. She was a mix of emotions, she felt guilty for taking their daughter away from Miles, sad that she was leaving London and part of her family behind but relieved that she had got together the strength of will to leave and put herself first for once. It was one big mess. That always seemed to be the case when it came to Miles, Maeve and Tracey, just part of the reason she had to get away from here.
